Monoammonium phosphate is a product of the reaction between ammonia and phosphoric acid. It is an important fertilizer and is used as a source of nitrogen and phosphorus. Due to its low pH level, it works better in alkaline soils. Very recommended as a starter because has one single ammonium molecule, so it’s not so agressive with the seeds during germination process and with seedlings freshly transplanted.
