General Information

VERDE Vital® dry are balanced formulas that provide a complete and specific nutrition program for pastures, all kinds of grasses, fodder crops and legumes.

It’s NPK-S-Mg ratio increases the response of crops under irrigation systems or with an adequate rainfall season. Results are achieved in short time and with lasting benefits thanks to a controlled release nitrogen fertilizer based on a polymer coated urea. Unlike conventional fertilizers, VERDE Vital® dry was designed to meet the most common nutrient deficiencies in forage species and grasslands, and at the same time, optimize forage quality and yield.

Designed to be applied by broadcasting or band placement into the soil to enhance the yield and quality of forage production in all kinds of pastures, grasses, fodder crops and legumes, VERDE Vital® dry three formulas allows you to choose the most suitable fertilizer considering what kind of forage crop is cultivated; what yield is expected and if it's going to be grazed or harvested.

• VERDE Vital® Grasslands 14-21-7+11S+3Mg : is a fertilizer with two nitrogen sources and controlled release nitrogen technology; intended as the first or main application for your grassland fertilization program. It's nutritional balance is recommended for Bermudagrass, Switchgrass, Kleingrass, Lovegrass, Buffelgrass, Guinea grass (panicum maximum), Cynodon spp. and Brachiaria spp., all native perennial warm-season grasses (Bristle grass, Rhodes grass, Big Bluestem grass, Chloris spp., etc)


• VERDE Vital® Forage Crops 12-18-12+12S+2Mg : is a fertilizer with two nitrogen sources and controlled release nitrogen technology; intended as the first or main application for your forage crops fertilization program. It's nutritional balance is designed for maize, sorghum, forage sorghum (Hegari, Early Sumac, Almum), sorghum sudangrass (conventional, BMR), legumes (Leucaena, Clitoria, Alfalfa, Clovers, Cowpeas), Hybrid pearl millet and similar crops for making silage or green forage for cutting and grazing.


• VERDE Vital® Nitro 40-0-0+5S+2Fe : is a nitrogen based fertilizer with integrated technology; fast absorption nitrogen plus controlled release nitrogen to be applied as a complement to VERDE Vital® Grasslands or Forage Crops. It extends the availability of nitrogen for the plant contributing to a greater biomass production before the winter season. It's nutritional balance is recommended as a reinforcement application on forage crops and grasslands, and specially suitable for fertilization of forage sorghum and maize for silage.

All three VERDE Vital® dry formulas are powered by which is a controlled release nitrogen fertilizer with a polymer coating that allows a continuous release of this nutrient and avoids lixiviation. A single application of VERDE Vital® is responsible for the nitrogen nutrition of the plant for several months, depending on soil temperature.

Why is it better

Premium materials, nutritional balance, applied technology, powered by controlled release nitrogen, specific formulas for either grasslands or for forage crops, and a third formula for N-Fe reinforcement, all add up to deliver a solid field performer! Fertilization programs based on VERDE Vital® dry produce more biomass and have better protein and minerals content that those untreated and therefore, will promote better weight gains or milk production.

How to use as a program and dosage:

VERDE Vital® dry formulas are very versatile, opening many possibilities for different application methods and/or programs. From a single main application at the start of the growing season to an intensive fertilization program with monthly applications, including reinforcement with VERDE Vital® Nitro. Some general guidelines are:

• Main application:

  VERDE Vital® Grasslands or VERDE Vital® Forage Crops.

  
  

  Apply by sidedress or broadcasting at least 300 lb/acre total in the growing season in two applications of 150 lb/acre or three applications of 100 lbs/acre according to the ranch management and seasonal rainfall. On intensive fertilization programs you can apply up to 150 lb/acre per month or after each cut according to your cutting management schedule.

  
  

• Reinforcement application:

  VERDE Vital® Nitro.

  Apply by broadcast or sidedress at a rate of 150 lb/acre even in the presence of moisture due to rainfall or irrigation water. Complementary applications of VERDE Vital® Nitro are to be interspersed 3 months after the main application of VERDE Vital®.
