Ammonium sulfate appears as white or colorless crystalline powder, ammoniacal odor, with a molecular weight of 132.14, easily soluble in water, pH between 4.5–6.0. Bulk density is 110.5 lb/ft3 (1.77 g/cm3). It’s a typical nitrogen-based and fast acting fertilizer to lower pH balance of the soil, while contributing essential nitrogen for plant growth.
