Magnesium nitrate is the inorganic nitrate salt of magnesium, prepared by the action of nitric acid on magnesium carbonate, appears as white crystalline solid, odorless, with a molecular weight of 148.31, easily soluble in water, pH between 5.0–7.0. Bulk density is 55.5 lb/ft3 (0.889 g/ml). It is compatible with all water-soluble fertilizers except concentrated phosphate solutions.
