Potassium chloride is an inorganic salt, appears as white crystals, odorless, with a molecular weight of 74.55, easily soluble in water, safe to handle, pH between 5.5–8.0. Bulk density is 123.6 lb/ft3 (1.98 g/ml). Potassium in plants is important for the osmotic and ionic regulation and is closely connected with processes involved in the protein synthesis. Mixing with potassium sulfate will reduce solubility.
